CUBIE bags are suitable for a wide range of household, garden, and renovation waste. Some materials are accepted as standard, while others are prohibited for safety, handling, or disposal reasons. If you’re unsure about a specific item, contact our team before ordering or collection.

Accepted materials

These materials are generally suitable for CUBIE bags, provided the bag stays within the service weight limit and materials do not protrude above the rim.

General household waste

Furniture, boxes, toys, non-hazardous home junk and general cleanup items.

Garden waste

Branches, leaves, clippings and general green waste.

Renovation waste

Timber offcuts, cabinetry, plasterboard, tiles and general renovation debris.

Construction and demolition waste

Mixed light construction waste from small building and trade jobs.

Heavy materials

Soil, concrete, bricks and similar dense materials are accepted.

Mixed loads

A practical mix of accepted waste types is generally fine, provided prohibited items are excluded.

Not accepted

The following items are not permitted in CUBIE bags due to safety, contamination, handling, or disposal restrictions.

Food organics

Food waste and organic material are not accepted.

Liquids and chemicals

Paints, oils, solvents, chemicals and similar liquid waste are prohibited.

Asbestos, fibro and insulation

Hazardous building materials including asbestos, fibro, insulation and styrofoam are not accepted.

Tyres and gas bottles

Tyres, gas cylinders and pressurised containers are prohibited.

Medical and sharps waste

Clinical waste, sharps and similar hazardous materials are not accepted.

Mattresses and soft bulky restricted items

Mattresses, synthetic grass and carpets are not accepted through this service.

Stumps and large restricted green waste

Tree stumps and similar oversized restricted material are not accepted.

Chemical containers

Containers that held hazardous or chemical substances are not accepted.
